Who We Are

at the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island. Many people know the Boys & Girls Club is a safe and secure place where children can come after school and during the summer. What surprises them is nearly 500 members come to the Hilton Head Club to enhance their academic performance, athletics opportunities, artistic expression, civic involvement and character development.

Along with seasoned staff, the spirit of the Hilton Head's generous and giving spirit comes alive with additional programming as business leaders, neighborhood/plantation groups, civic groups and individuals bring their talents and time to bring children new experiences. Each year, these groups and individuals provide special opportunities for Club members in programs such as: Hooked on Golf, South Carolina Yacht Club's sailing lessons, "Brain Gain," Practicing with the Pros Football Day Camp, garden club, tennis lessons, Old Navy Camp, robotics, and so forth.

The 32,000 square foot Club has dedicated areas for computers, homework/tutoring, a gym, Teen Center, arts & crafts and a drama room. The Club also has sport fields, gardens and picnic areas for its members and families. The Club is a testament of how this close-knit community on a 12-mile island comes together to care for the community's children. The Club serves more than 6,000 kids annually as other local and out-of-town children attend events at the Club throughout the year such as concerts, sports camps and special events.
