SummerFest benefits Bluffton organizations
The SummerFest event held June 19 at Hampton Lake raised more than $700 for the Bluffton Boys & Girls Club. The Junior ROTC Booster Club hosted a hamburger and hot dog grill that raised more than $800 for that program during the evening event.
"We had a tremendous turnout," said Gerrit Albert, president of the community. "We were thrilled to host Shannon Tanner as well as have the opportunity to hold an event benefitting such great organizations as the Boys & Girl's Club and JROTC."
